Ray Park FOR SURE. Especially because of the big 501st presence. Svengoolie is a personal fave of mine, so I'm gonna vote for him every time. Anyone you already know personally, ESPECIALLY local, gets a thumbs up from me.

I know it's just a lot of this has to do with budget and what the terms and conditions are. DJs get into what is their pay, especially if they have their own equipment. Photographers: if you have a booth set up, same thing. If they're mobile, ehhh doesn't matter lol Even if you just got them in for free as PRESS or something, that's ALWAYS inviting. Media: www.Chicagonow.com - Nashanta works for them, has blogged about Cyphan before, and has www.lesson5photo.com as pretty much her personal photographer now for events. Comicbook Shops: I have personal contact for Graham Crackers and Challengers Comics, which are all local.

Looks good so far,
I'm not certain about the Youtube celebrities. I mean, i'm going back as 'old school' as Lightsaber kid. lol
Still, "Chocolate Rain' or "Tron Guy" would be funny to meet. imo.
then again, i don't know. Kearstin you've got the pulse on the "popular now' vein. You know the budget. I know Ray Parks would be a BIG draw, not just for Star Wars but GI Joe, X-Men, Etc.
Svengoolie is always awesome to have. He's a local!
any other local personalities we can throw in the mix? Just a thought.

I like the phrase pulse on the popular vein lol I'd like to say only because I'm just 25 years old. I love cyphan, but, I don't like being the youngest one at it, let alone I don't want it to turn into an Acen or have it be targeting 'older' people anyway. I LOVE you guys, but, youth means party. Youth means friends. The older people get, the more marriage children and all that crap happen, so, a younger audience is "easier" I should say to target.

Okay, just so long as you do. I don't like to assume anything; I'm a big enough @$$ with a big @$$.

Exactly, i'm 37 and therefore i'm not entirely sure what the generation before me is looking for or wanting to do. You're in the stream of that and Bollow needs to attract that audience. One for the simple fact that those attendees will be the ones carrying the con for years to come two, cuz they can stay up past 2am. while my old A$$ is falling asleep! Youth does mean 'partay' but i'm sure we can balance that with some age i.e. Bollow. If I can assist, feel free to ask. I can only speak for groups of around my age, troopers, and a few pin ups. -River

Exactly. It's not that I want to not have older generations involved, but youth is who's going to come in the future so we want to snag them NOW.
And with how intune everybody is with iPhone, social networking, youtube and other smartphones lol, Youtube, technology and crazy is what's in.
Youtube has been justified to CREATING celebrities so I hold youtube perfectly accountable to be called worthy LOL

Ah, the eternal conundrum: The youth are the patrons of the future, but the older crowd has the money now.

Youtube has been justified to CREATING celebrities so I hold youtube perfectly accountable to be called worthy LOL Sounds good, I regaled Youtube to nothing more than a webpage that entertains me with funny videos and awesome remixes of songs. But you have a point with how today's technology is integrated with youths. It be interesting to check out these guys. -River

There's more but I don't want to overwhelm. To focus back on point, I do know for sure it would be AMAZING to have Ray Park officially as our main guest. All it will be is just finding out if he's going to a new agent, or if he'll be doing it himself. Yay waiting game!
Otherwise, it gets into costume contest judges, DJ, 'minor' celebrities (since we all agreed not to have SO many big stars).
