Since someone said something about it, figured we may as well have a thread for it!
Time Warp (regular length) - Rocky Horror Picture Show All the Single Ladies - Beyonce (don't shoot me please) Zoot Suit Riot - Cherry Poppin Daddies Dragula - Rob Zombie Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie ET (dance remix) - Katy Perry Super Villain - Powerman 5000
For early in the night I'm On a Boat - The Ghost That Feeds - Nine Inch Nails/Ray Parker Jr. Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners Grounds for Divorce - Elbow Zydrate Anatomy - Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtrack We Used to Be Friends - Dandy Warhols Hey Jealousy - Gin Blossoms Grace Kelly - Mika
Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters soundtrack (do your skit at this point instead of stopping the dance floor to do it, do this just before the night turns up)

I'm going to chime in for Nanette: The Casper Slide, for sure. Or is it called the Cha-Cha Slide? Either way. No sense in putting in my picks. Nobody wants to listen to my music anymore.

My biggest complaint...there wasn't one slow song that whole night?!? WTH?! Okay, two...that's all I ask...some type of standard so I can grab a drink and catch my breath!

I agree. Some of us old folks want to be able dance a few old-fashioned dances, too.

She's right, SLOW SONGS ARE KEY! When i DJ'd they always said leave about 45 min for slow songs. People want to dance to them, ESEPCIALLY if you're a guy and you want to get a little closer to the girl you just brought a drink for. Glad someone started this thread. I'll add songs myself, but i'll wait to see what the majority posts. I'd hate to double-post songs someone already stated. -River

Okay, I'm going to chime in my personal preference. Keep in mind I expect to be in a minority ... of like, one ... but I'm gonna share anyway. I'd love to hear some Rat Pack stuff; Frank Sinatra, Dean Marin, etc. Big Band swing music would be awesome, too. You guys want to dance? I'll show you what dancing is. Oh, well, maybe that's more for reenactor fest.

OR... you could have the music theme change throughout the night, if you want to be really clever - kind of in keeping with the Con theme. You could do current pop for a while, then 80s, then techno ...

Well...if we are doing 80s/80s/80s...we should have some throw-back stuff, and some "Back to the Future" stuff (okay Lewis and the News, too)...as well.

Gosh, now I'm thinking about that bit from Xanadu - "Dancin" when the Andrews Sisters style singers mesh with the neon rock band.

Guys...keep in mind, the slow music is just a suggestion...and needs to be done, as River suggested, in stages.

Troy...I love how your mind works...frightening, ain't it? I can honestly say I don't think anyone has ever said that to me before. I'm really not used to it and don't know how to respond. It is encouraging, so thank you!
