Oh, I like that. BTW, I know at some point it's gonna come up: I nominate Heather as Cruise Director. And, in answer to someone's earlier question, of COURSE Mike would be Captain. I volunteer for Gopher

Depending on guests scheduled-
Exodus from the Colonies of Man: All this has happened before. All this will happen again...and it does, aboard one luxury liner, for one weekend, as we flee from Caprica.
Cyphan:Universe: The Stargate aboard our vast ship has brought aboard everyone, from everywhere...
The Celestial Temple: We've entered a Wormhole/Vortex on our travels, and the Space-Time Continuum is our oyster...
Cruise To The End of the Universe: With scheduled stops at Gallifrey, Krypton and Milliways...

The Voyage of the Dammed idea gives me creative wood... I kid you not. Calling your con "a celebration of sunshine" is common and boring. Calling it "Cyphan 3 - Voyage of the Dammed" is gonna make people look at it and go "whaaa?"
PLUS it ties in all the different costuming universes in a tidy little package!! ;D

My point exactly, Michael. I'd love to help if you want to develop the "story"

William started a great story line... let's all pitch in!
So we have a luxury star liner (the Olympic as a homage to Titanic's sister ship). It is an Olympic class vessel, FTL capable (for BSG folks) and Lightspeed capable for all other sci-fi genres. On a routine cruise an unexplained and never before seen storm appears in the ships path and the course can not be altered. The ship enters the storm and all of a sudden....

The ship becomes trapped in the eye of the storm; effectively cut off from all of space and time. Since this "eye of the storm" is an area of null-space, their jump drive and impulse engines simply don't work. They can't navigate out. The only thing to do is wait for the storm to pass...

The last thing I want to see at a con is Mike's face on video screens assuring the passengers that no expense has been spared and that nothing can go wrong...oh, and angel robots. None of that!

Hey, wait! That's a great idea! Video monitors of Michael, like you said, would really help sell the story!

If anybody has OTHER theme ideas... please toss them out! - a tribute to a classic movie or show? - Alternate Universes? - Let's get naked? "Let's get naked" would be awesome for a for an 18+ holosuite!

How good is Harrison with a British accent? He could play the "official" Doctor for the weekend. He could drive the story by doing a few staged scenes to explain what's happening.

Cool Troy!! The ship design would be based on areas of the hotel we are going to be using for the con, so it all matches up visually. There are some really talented artists on board this year who have volunteered to help -- we have a lot in motion already if you can believe it! HEY!! I wonder if we could get the actor who is the guest of honor to play the part of the ships' captain?
